Commercial applications is a huge blue ocean for 3D vision in the future. Application scenarios will cover dining, shopping, offices, and even homes, making people’s lives much more convenient. The transition of industrial automation and intelligent machine vision technology to commercial applications will undergo three stages: technology innovation, application innovation, and popularization. Currently, we are in the early exploration phase, with some innovative uses in smart commerce, unmanned retail, and service robots, etc. As technology and its applications gradually advance, commercial applications of 3D vision are poised to an outbreak.
